Of all the things to do in Phuket - Island hopping is one of the first and most exciting things that comes to mind. There is nothing like your own private boat charter to Phi Phi islands, or island hopping between some of the many beautiful offshore islands that can be reached from Phuket by boat.

Idyllic islands with white sand beaches and palm trees - turquoise water and beautiful tropical fish. Snorkelling and fishing, lazing on the beach, dining under the stars or having fun with our many “toys” such as boat slides, floating jacuzzies, floating sofas, noodles etc. You can also enjoy the large variety of water sports equipment which we provide, such as SUPs (stand up paddle boards), kayaks, water scooters, scuba diving, snorkelling (with full face masks), and snuba diving ( the latest cross between snorkelling and diving).

One of the main reasons for hiring one of our boats for a day charter, or overnight charter to the Phi Phi islands is that there is beautiful crystal clear water around these islands. There are some highly recommended dive sites in the Phi Phi area, and really wonderful snorkelling. The beautiful coral reef and colourful tropical fish make this an experience to remember. Our boat captains know where to find these spots.

Island Hopping Phi Phi Islands

The two main islands of Phi Phi are Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The larger and inhabited Phi Phi Don attracts hundreds of visitors, both longer stay and yacht charter day tourists, on its lovely shores while the smaller uninhabited Phi Phi Leh hosts stunningly beautiful bays and beaches, including the world-famous Maya Bay featured in the movie 'The Beach' with Leonardo di Caprio.

Firstly, the world famous Phi Phi islands. Justly famous, as these islands are some of the most beautiful in Asia and are only 46km south of Phuket Island, so easliy reachable by boat on a day charter. The combination of fine white sandy beaches, dense jungle, and towering limestone cliffs form spectacular scenery. Phi Phi is actually a group of six islands.

One of the main reasons for hiring one of our boats for a day charter, or overnight charter, is that there is beautiful crystal clear water around these islands. There are some highly recommended dive sites in this area, and really wonderful snorkelling. The beautiful coral reef and colourful tropical fish make an experience to remember. Our boat captains know where to find these spots.

Phi Phi Don

Phi Phi Don, the larger of the two, is visited for its incredibly picturesque panorama with the idyllic tropical beaches lining its southern and eastern shores. The soaring lime stone mountains embrace the narrow crescent bays, offering the scenically beautiful panorama. To get the remarkably magnificent view, you stroll along the path at the backside of Ton Sai Village to reach the viewpoint which offers the excellent view of sunrise.  On the eastern and southern shore of Phi Phi Don, there lie along several beautiful beaches; Lo Bakao Bay, Laem Tong Beach, Long Beach, and Lo Dalam Bay.
Lo Bakao is a wide bay offering a various kinds of water sport
activities

Laem Tong

Laem Tong Beach is easily accessed, located near the centre of the island and; like the other bays and beaches on Koh Phi Phi- can be accessed by foot through minor effort. The beach itself is at the end of a moderately lengthed jungle walk, but reasonably uncrowded and home to shallow, clear water and a sandy shore. The scenery around the bay is gorgeous, and a go-to place for those looking for a quiet, pleasant beach to spend the day, or have a swim. Not far from the shore of Laem Tong, are islands such as the Bamboo Island National Park- perfect for snorkeling and diving, but perhaps too far to swim from there.

Long Beach

Long Beach lies on the southernmost tip of the Phi Phi Don; its sand is clean and the abundant bed of coral of the Hin Pae Island offshore is excellent for diving. A 30-minute-walk or a 20 Baht-long- tail-boat-ride from Ton Sai Beach is required to reach the beach.

Long Beach does not only offer amazing views and a spectacular beachfront location- but also has multiple resorts and restaurants nearby, making it an amazing spot for spending the day, or enjoying even late night swims. The beach itself is, as the name suggests, long stretching and has great views of Phi Phi Le. Not only this, but Long Beach’s water, along with the larger majority of Koh Phi Phi’s beaches is clean, safe and opens up a plethora of activities to spend aside from beach crawling and swimming. Roaming from resort to the beach, and finishing the day on Thailands best seafood wraps Long Beach up into what would be the perfect day. For the most part, the beach is calm all but for some exceptions throughout the year. Snorkeling is also a viable option as Long Beach is also home to nearby coral reefs, stocked full with the islands naturally large marine life.

Loh Dalam Bay

Loh Dalum is only a short walk away from Koh Phi Phi’s centre and is perfect for relaxed beach crawling. Not surprisingly, the scenery is spectacular, as are with most beaches around the island, and the water calm and shallow- wonderful for swimming. Though quite popular during the day, the beach is less crowded and much more casual in the evenings and at night. Though for those wish to spend a large amount of time in Loh Dalum, there are limited shops nearby, and it might be a good idea to either bring something with you.

Ton Sai Bay

Ton Sai is a beach near Krabi in Thailand, offering a combination of inexpensive accommodation and great rock climbing routes that make it popular with both backpackers and climbers alike. Compared to neighbouring Raileh and Ao Nang it's relatively rough around on the edges; in particular, the beach gets unsuitable for swimming and becomes quite rocky as the tide goes out. But this only happens for about ten days every moon period. The rest of the time the beach is suitable for swimming although not overly sanitary, take care and use antiseptic on all cuts.

Nui Bay

Nui bay is located along the west coast of Phi Phi Don island. Two large rocks sit in front of the bay, offering some exciting swimthroughs and rare macro life.

Phi Phi Leh (Phi Phi Ley)

Phi Phi Le is an uninhabited island whose natural beauty is still unspoiled. The island is mostly composed of towering limestone cliffs that spring up at right angles with the blue water surface. The water is brightly turquoise with the abundant coral reefs and species of fish. There are several magnificent beaches and scenic islands standing offshore.  There is no accommodation on Phi Phi Lei, as most of the island is composed of sheer cliffs and small lagoons with teeming fish. Trips leave every day for sightseeing and snorkelling, especially good for beginners as the water is warm, absolutely clear, and shallow.

Maya Bay

Made famous as a location for the Hollywood film "The Beach." Great for snorkelling, lots of coral gardens and colourful fish, although can get a little busy in high season!

Maya Bay is another wonderful beach, and has been a huge tourist attraction for Koh Phi Phi for years. The beach itself is mainly accessed by boats which can be caught for a reasonable. The shore of the bay was altered due to the movie, ‘The Beach’, in the 90’s and was changed considerably. However, despite a large lawsuit that ensued after the time of the land developments, the beach remains to be as gorgeous as ever, if not more- surrounded by steep cliffs and green vegetation. The water itself is safe, shallow and crystal clear. Another perfect spot for relaxing, snorkeling and swimming the bay. Cliff jumping in some area’s is also a popular activity, and a great source of fun. Maya Bay is one of the places Koh Phi Phi offers that you would be stupid not to visit.

Lohsamah Bay

The tropical paradise of Phi Phi Island is composed of two islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley. Although Phi Phi Don is the main island, Phi Phi Ley has quite a bit to offer tourists. Loh Samah Beach is located on the much smaller island of Phi Phi Ley. Since this entire island is surrounded by limestone walls, very little damaged was sustained by the tsunami. To this day, the island and beaches shine like a precious gem.

Although the Phi Phi Ley island is uninhabited, it is still a common stopping destination for tourists and diving trips. Most diving trips stop at Loh Samah Beach since the southern coastline bay provides shallow diving for beginners. The cliffs and caves can also provide shelter from the sun and rain. More experienced divers head towards the seaward side of the Loh Samah Beach pinnacle because the current can be fairly strong.

Pi-Leh Cove

The Pileh Cove is in the South Eastern Part of Phi Phi Le Island and is part of the Phi Phi Island National Park and just before the small bida nok and bida nai ...

Viking Cave

Viking Cave is the immense cave named after the pictographs on the wall of the cave which indistinctly resemble to ancient Viking ships. This cave was renamed by H.M Rama IX when he visited it in 1972, which resembles in shape the head of the great serpent of Buddhist legend is a revered place of local people who come to collect the swift's nests that is used to make Bird's Nest Soup, a Chinese delicacy. The cave is a spectacular scene created by the nature itself; cave and a sea lake formed by a clef between the two cliffs that allows water to enter into a bowl-shaped canyon wherein several nice hidden beaches are shaped. Visitors can stop to relax and snorkel here.

Bamboo Island

Bamboo Island National Park is home to an untouched environment and some of the best snorkeling locations Thailand has to offer. Whether you want to enjoy yourself on the far stretching, white beaches along the islands coast, it’s also an amazing spot for snorkeling as the island is rich with an abundance of timid marine life just off the shore. Snorkeling day trips are also an optional activity, filling up your days schedule with plenty of activities from morning until late afternoon, including boat tours, time on the beach, delicious buffett’s and more. Truly an epic way to spend the day.

Island Hopping Koh Hong - Krabi Island

There are many beautiful islands in the stunning Krabi area. Too many islands to describe separately. One of the most unusual and beautiful though is Koh Hong Krabi. It is uninhabited, except for the birds, white-faced gibbon monkeys and giant monitor lizards that can sometimes be seen on the main white sand beach. In the interior is a large lagoon (this is the “chamber” which is the reason for it’s Thai name “Hong”). This can be accessed by kayak or dinghy, and as the water level goes lower, the colour of the water changes from a deep emerald green to a clear turquoise. The entrance to the lagoon is through a stunning and dramatic cliff passage. Koh Lahding is another beautiful island with a sheltered cove, and further north, both Koh Pakbia and Koh Rai islands have beautiful sandbars which are revealed at low tide.

Island Hopping Phang Nga Bay

Phang Nga Bay is a spectacular bay with many limestone islands, wonderful for sight seeing, exploring, swimming, and relaxing, with opportunities for kayaking through hidden lagoons and caves. A real opportunity for island hopping! Phang Nga bay is one of south-east Asia's most striking maritime landscapes, and is justly world famous. You can see the well-known James Bond Island, and many other similar and stunning limestone outcrops. One of the most beautiful and surprising is the hidden lagoon in Kho Hong Phang Nga island. You can also cruise past or visit the unique 200 year old Muslim sea-gypsy village on stilts at Ko Panyee.

An easy guide to visit Maithon Island

Maithon is one of the private-owned Islands in Phuket Thailand. There is a limitation in accessing this Island, and it means you have to make arrangements to get there. It is an outstanding well maintained Island. In this blog post, we will share with you an easy guide to tell you all about the Island as well as what to see and critical activities in Maithon Island.
Maithon Island (Maithon or Mai Ton) is just off Phuket’s east coast, a beautiful tropical island. At its widest point, the Island extends for 2,5 km, with beautiful golden sands and palm trees, as well as pristine waters home to vibrant coral reefs.
Unlike all the other well-known tropical islands around Phuket, Maithon-also is known as Honeymoon Island-is only 9 kilometers (29,527.6 feet) off the southeastern coast of Phuket.
It is the largest private Island located away in Andaman Sea’s crystal blue waters, complete with a soft-sand beach full of beautiful washed-up corals and shells of the sea, and lush green natural forest.
The trippy Island may only be about 4 kilometers (13,123.4 feet) in size, but its white powdery sand straddles the shoreline 1 kilometer (3,280.8 feet). With only a limited number of guests permitted at one time, Maiton is genuinely making a fantastic holiday experience into a magical destination.
Whether for an extended vacation or just a weekend getaway, Phuket has plenty of retreats to give on the Island. One island stands out amongst others, though. The peaceful private Island of Maiton is concealed in the glistening turquoise blue waters of the Andaman Sea.
Maiton is an untouched natural paradise that offers the most incredible private island experience with only a handful of guests allowed at one time on the Island.

Maithon island tour with speedboat

Koh Mai Thon, or Maithon Island, is a lovely private island a little further off Phuket’s southeast coast on the way to Phi Phi Islands. It is a beautiful, tiny granite island covered by lush vegetation rich in palms and tall trees. Koh Mai Thon in Thai means “Timber Island.”
Due to the considerable distance from the Main Island Coast, the Island is relatively unknown and little frequented by visitors. It is, however, one of Phuket’s most beautiful islands, a truly unspoiled tropical paradise.
Koh Mai Thon is a small jewel in the Andaman Sea, every tourist’s dream that will come true in real life. The Island is little but has a beautiful white sandy beach surrounded by spectacular deep turquoise waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
Despite being one of the most beautiful beaches around Phuket, it’s never crowded, because unlike other most popular islands near the main Island, only a few small groups of tourists arrive here with the daily trips, a blessing for those who want to enjoy a corner of paradise for themselves. Accommodation on the Island is Honeymoon Island Hotel.
The lovely five-star hotel is, as the name suggests, one of the popular destinations for high-level romantic stays and is often used for photoshoots and wedding services. The hotel has a swimming pool, beach volleyball, sauna, meeting rooms, a scuba diving facility, and a spa.
Not many companies tour operators sell day trips to this beautiful Island because its cost is slightly higher compared to other excursions on the islands closest to the coast. Still, without a doubt, the overcharge will be rewarded with one of Phuket’s most beautiful hikes.

Maithon island tour with a catamaran

If you’ve dreamed of crystal-clear blue waters, beautiful white sand beaches, abundant corals and vibrant aquatic life, this Maithon Island Catamaran tour will make your dreams on the beach possible.
Climb aboard a catamaran and cruise in the Andaman Sea from Phuket to Koh Maithon. Go in pursuit of the wild dolphins swimming in the surrounding waters of “Honeymoon Island” before leaving for Koh Phi Phi.
Known as the “honeymoon” island, this private Island in Maiton Sea’s beautiful waters will allow you to swim and snorkel in the heart of paradise, without the usual crowds of tourists.
Your day starts with a hotel pick up before you transfer to your choice of speed boat or slower (but more luxurious) catamaran. A day of swimming or snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs in crystal clear waters awaits you.
You will have the opportunity to see the different types of aquatic life in the reefs, or if you prefer, you can always relax on the white beach as you soak up yourself on the sun. Additionally, get to enjoy a delicious buffet of authentic Thai cuisine, offering vegetarian options too.
You’ll journey into the jungle, with an exploration of the Island’s neighboring areas, led by the owners of the private Island, welcoming you to explore all the marvels this paradise island offers altogether.

Diving & snorkeling

Only ten steps ahead of the sandy beach lie the thriving coral sanctuary where there are over 400 fish species and exciting marine life. Explore the underwater beauty by thrilling aquatic sports like diving and snorkeling. You can also take a dip in Andaman Sea’s turquoise blue waters, and be wowed by the fantastic marine life around you.

Dolphin watching

If you want to go further into the sea, take a cruise for an exciting trip to watch the dolphin. Look at the wild dolphins doing an impressive stunt or two right in front of you as sail into the deep blue sea. Simultaneously let your worries drift away as you gaze into the beautiful horizon and enjoy the fascinating sights.

Island Hopping Koh Rang Yai

Koh Rang Yai is a small uninhabited island about 5km off the east coast of Phuket, which has a fabulous long white sand beach on the west with views back to the mainland. Though there is virtually no develpment on the island, there are several local beach restaurants set in the shade of the trees. The beach is idyllic with overhanging trees giving plenty of shade. There is a smaller beach on the western side of the island and you can walk through the coconut groves to reach it. At the centre of the main beach is the pearl farm and shop.. Here you can see the various stages of pearl production. The forested interior has some good trails for hiking. You can rent mountain bikes for a ride along the trails around the island. There is also some reasonable snorkeling around the rocky headlands. The water on the east side of the island is not always so clear, but the beach is lovely for swimming. You can sit in the shade of the coconut trees, and take a refreshing dip in the sea, or relax in our floating jacuzzis.

Island Hopping Koh Naka Yai

Koh Naka Yai is a lovely island just off the North East coast of Phuket island. It is a classic postcard image of paradise, with fine white sand beaches lined with coconut palms, and no roads. It has four main beaches and a few small slivers of sand. It does get crowded in the afternoons with speedboats returning from day trips, but in the morning it is quiet, and after 5 pm the day trippers mostly speed off again and the island becomes deserted and peaceful again. Along the eastern shore there are beach shack bars and typical local thai restaurants. There is also the possibility of hiring jetskis and wakeboards or you can go para-sailing. The views of Phang Nga Bay are breathtaking from this side of the island. The west coast is the quieter side, and a good place to anchor and inflate our water slide, as there is no current there.

Island Hopping Koh Phae

Ko Phae is a tiny rocky island out on its own in the middle of the Andaman Sea, with a wonderful surprise of a beautiful sand bar which appears miraculously at low tide. Usually deserted, this is a lovely place to anchor off in one of our boats if the timing of your day cruise fits in with a low tide

Island Hopping Koh Chok Dee

Kho Chokdee is a very small private island, with a rustic thai restaurant and tiny beach. Because the surrounding water is crystal clear, this area is ideal for snorkelling, and this island is a perfect place to stop off during your boat cruise and enjoy a cold beer or snacks.

Island Hopping Koh Khai

The Kho Khai islands consist of three small islands. Khai Nok Island has a beautiful white beach with crystal clear turquoise water. Plenty of tropical fish in the shallow water, great for the kids. Khai Nai Island is the biggest island and has a beautiful white beach with crystal clear emerald green water which is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Khai Nui Island is the smallest island and has colorful coral reefs providing excellent snorkelling.
